Lake County resident Dan Martich was in the Marine Corps and served in Vietnam. He wonders if politicians would cut veterans’ benefits “if they’d have been there.” He doubts it. “Worst Thing” won the Gold Pollie from the American Association of Political Consultants for Best Congressional Democratic TV spot in 2004.
