Poverty
Center for American Progressive Strategies

Thirty-seven million Americans live under the poverty line. That’s one in eight people. Due to that startling figure, Center for American Progress created a Task Force on Poverty. Made up of a diverse group of national experts and leaders, the Task Force examines the causes and consequences of poverty in our Nation. This video was created to coincide with the release of the Task Force’s report on how to cut poverty in half in the next 10 years.
